Eight days of Florida.Two of them change everything.

The tournament at IMG Academy is the first encounter with American level. Immediately afterwards the whole team travels on to Saint Leo University: two days, one night, and a campus that turns from an abstract idea into a real option.

Travel and planning overview

From departure to campus night

  1. Day 1

    Arrival Tampa & transfer

    Flight from Amsterdam or a Caribbean departure point to Tampa. Transfer to the team hotel in Bradenton, team briefing and jet-lag protocol.

  2. Day 2 – 5

    IMG Academy tournament

    Group stage and knockout on the IMG pitches, with US college coaches on the touchline. Every player is filmed and receives an individual report.

  3. Day 6

    Transfer to Saint Leo · campus day 1

    Morning transfer (± 60 min). Campus tour, lunch in the dining hall, meeting admissions and the athletic department, evening session on the university pitch.

  4. Night

    Overnight on campus

    One night in student housing alongside current student-athletes. Evening programme with international students from the Caribbean and Europe.

  5. Day 7

    Campus day 2 · academic session

    Class visit, session on admission, scholarships and credits (Cruyff Institute + Saint Leo), individual conversations with candidates and parents online. Closing team dinner.

  6. Day 8

    Return or extension

    Transfer to Tampa International. Teams can optionally extend into the 7-day programme including the Cruyff Institute Sports Essentials Course.
