Recruitment Strategy · Talent World FC

Recruitment StartsWhere The Talent Already Is.

Participants are not found through advertising. They are identified inside the clubs, schools and federations we already work with, then qualified through College Prep Days before they ever board a plane.

Market 01 · The Netherlands & Europe

Recruitment through TWIFC partners

In the Netherlands recruitment runs entirely through the TWIFC partner network: amateur and academy clubs, secondary schools and MBO sport programs. Every partner receives a co-branded pathway, a briefing for coaches and mentors, and a fixed number of nominated places per season.

01

Partner clubs

Technical staff nominate players from U15–U19 who combine athletic level with academic potential.

02

Partner schools

Career counsellors and sport coordinators introduce the pathway during study-choice moments.

03

Parent evenings

Evening sessions at the club explain cost, visa, academics and the return on an American degree.

04

Nomination quota

Each partner receives a limited allocation, which keeps the pathway selective and protects quality.

Market 02 · The Caribbean

Club and education marketing, market by market

Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire and Suriname require their own approach. Recruitment combines soccer federations and clubs with the education channel, because in these markets the decision is driven as much by access to an American degree as by sport.

01

Federation & club marketing

Cooperation with federations and leading clubs, with scouting days built into the local competition calendar.

02

Education marketing

Presentations at secondary schools and study-choice fairs, positioning Saint Leo as a realistic destination.

03

Community & media

Local radio, community leaders and alumni stories carry more weight than paid advertising.

04

Diaspora networks

Caribbean families in the Netherlands form a natural bridge between both markets.

Step 01 · Qualification

College Prep Days in the country of origin

Before any travel, candidates take part in College Prep Days in their own country. These days determine the participant fields: who is ready for which program, at which level, and on which timeline.

  1. 01
On-pitch assessment of level, position profile and physical baseline.
  2. 02
English language screening and academic intake.
  3. 03
Motivation and mindset interview with the athlete.
  4. 04
Parent session on cost, visa, insurance and expectations.
  5. 05
Placement advice: which program stage fits this candidate.
  6. 06
A qualified participant field per country, ready for the program ladder.

You qualify in your own country

Every College Prep Day combines a field test, an academic intake and an English check. That is how participant fields per destination country are determined.

Step 02 · First contact in the United States

Florida tournaments as the first American experience

From 2026 the December tournaments in Florida, including the events at IMG Academy, are used as a first structured introduction to American college soccer and campus culture. Teams travel as a delegation, play against American opposition, and are seen by college staff.

02

Competitive benchmark

Players measure themselves against American college-level opposition for the first time.

03

Visibility

College coaches and recruiters watch live, in real match conditions.

04

Low-threshold entry

A tournament trip is an easier first commitment for parents than a full program.

Step 03 · The joint proposal

Two days, one night at Saint Leo

The preferred model is a joint approach in which every delegation travelling to the Florida tournaments spends two days and one night on the Saint Leo campus. The tournament creates the reason to travel; the campus visit creates the decision.

Day 1 · Arrival and campus

Campus tour, athletics facilities, meeting with coaching staff, dinner in the dining hall.

Night · Residential experience

Overnight stay in student housing, evening session with current international student athletes.

Day 2 · Academics and admissions

Class visit, admissions and scholarship briefing, individual conversations, departure to the tournament.

Two days on campus convert more candidates than twelve months of digital marketing. It is the moment where an idea becomes a plan.
